The Ensemble Video Moodle Plugin makes it easier for Moodle users to upload or publish content from Ensemble Video into their Moodle pages.
Note: This plugin requires an Ensemble Video version of 4.3 or newer, and Moodle 2.3 or newer. See the extended Moodle Plugin documentation for more information.
Downloading the Moodle Plugin
For each of the two respective downloads, select your Moodle version before downloading:
If you are unsure of your Moodle version, visit Settings > Site administration > Notifications. Your installed version should be indicated on that page.
Installing the Moodle Plugin
Once you have downloaded the Ensemble Video Repository and the Ensemble Video Filter .zip files, log in to your Moodle site. Navigate to Site Administration > Plugins > Install Plugins.
Click Choose a file to find and select the Ensemble Video Repository .zip file, or drag & drop the file from your system. Click Install Plugin from the ZIP file, then repeat the process for the Ensemble Video Filter .zip file.
Configuring the Moodle Plugin

To connect the integration, visit the Moodle Plugins overview page located at Site Administration > Plugins > Plugins Overview:
Browse down or search for the Ensemble Video Repository Plugin that was installed using the instructions above, and click Settings for the plugin.
Ensure that Allow users to add a repository instance into the course is turned on, then select Create a repository instance:
Start by naming the repository instance.
For the Ensemble URL, Consumer Key, and Shared Secret, you will need to log into your Ensemble web application as an Institution Administrator or System Administrator, then visit Administration > Institution > LTI Configurations:
Click Action > Edit for the option that corresponds with the Institution and Identity provider that you would like to use in Moodle. Copy the values from Ensemble into their respective fields into the Repository Configuration page. The last field, Additional Parameters, is optional. This can be used to assert additional control of the plugin, such as turning on captions by default. More information on parameters can be found here.
Save your repository settings when finished. After the Ensemble Video Repository is set up, the Ensemble Video Filter will need to be configured.
The Ensemble Video Filter
To ensure the Moodle Plugin can communicate with your Ensemble Video server, visit the Moodle Plugins overview page located at Site Administration > Plugins > Plugins Overview and edit the Ensemble Video Filter that was installed using the directions above.
Enter the URL that you use to access Ensemble Video. If you are not sure, visit your Branding settings in Ensemble video to determine your Ensemble URL. Be sure you include the https:// protocol in the address (e.g. https://you.ensemblevideo.com as opposed to you.ensemblevideo.com. You may enter multiple URLs by separating each URL with a comma.
Click Save Changes. Your Moodle Plugin is now ready to use!
