Ensemble Anthem Pro

Follow

Ensemble Anthem creates screen capture and webcam recordings which are automatically uploaded into a user’s Ensemble Media Library. There are two versions of Ensemble Anthem, Ensemble Anthem (Standard) and Ensemble Anthem Pro.

Ensemble Anthem (Standard) is designed for single user environments, such as a personal computer.

Ensemble Anthem Pro is installed on a shared use computer for classroom lecture, used in a computer lab or other similar setting.   Ensemble Anthem Pro has a Windows Service that will upload media recordings in the background, so the computer is not tied up with an upload process when a long recording is completed. Another user can log in and begin another recording immediately.

Anthem Pro also offers an MSI-based installer that can be leveraged by Windows software-deployment managers, and other users who need a deployable installer for Anthem. It is licensed and implemented separately from Ensemble Anthem.

Removing Anthem

Before using Anthem Pro, normal (non-Pro) Anthem software should be removed from the operating system. Anthem can be removed before or after Anthem Pro is installed:

Installing Anthem Pro

To install Anthem Pro, launch the .MSI installer that was provided by Ensemble Video. During installation you can customize installation location and default settings in the first form of the installation wizard.

Storing all User Media in Single Location

Note that you can now store all content and preferences in a single Media Location. To do this you need to configure login credentials for the Ensemble Service which has access to the network path folder. If the credentials are correct and applied to the Ensemble Service, the service can access the folder on NAS for all Ensemble Anthem users.

To do so, you will need to restart the service and apply the correct credentials. Please follow these steps.

  1. Close client
  2. Open services and click on service and stop it.
  3. Click on service properties and give the domain user details as per the domain account [ please check with your IT team].

In case the service does not stop, as some background process is attached to it, open the cmd with admin privileges and run the following command:

sc.exe queryex EnsembleService

This will give you the process ID, take the PID and run the following command:

taskkill /pid {pid you got from the previous step} /f

Customizing the Installation with CMD line execution

You can also run the installer from command line and using the following switches to customize installation:

  1. Changing Installation directory -
    msiexec /i <msi filename> INSTALLFOLDER="<Directory where it needs to be installed>"
    Example:
    msiexec /i EnsembleAnthemPro.msi INSTALLFOLDER="C:\test\"
If INSTALLFOLDER is not specified then it should install in program files as usual.
  2. Desktop Shortcut via Command Line -
Provide INSTALLDESKTOPSHORTCUT=true to enforce desktop shortcut
    Example:
    msiexec /i EnsembleAnthemPro.msi INSTALLDESKTOPSHORTCUT=true
  3. Quiet Installs -
All the above should work with quiet installs
    Example:
    msiexec /i EnsembleAnthemPro.msi /quiet /qn /norestart
  4. Quiet Uninstalls -
Use /x instead of /i for uninstalls
  5. To install with Roaming, use USEROAMING=true
  6. To specify the media location, use MEDIALOCATION=“C:\xyz”
  7. To enable record system audio, use RECORDSYSTEMAUDIO=True
  8. To delete media after upload, use DELETEMEDIAAFTERUPLOAD=True
  9. To set screen resolution, use SCREENRECORDINGRESOLUTION=1080
  10. To disable media preview and upload in background automatically, use IGNOREMEDIAPREVIEWUPLOADINBACKGROUND=true
  11. To set camera recording quality, use CAMERAQUALITYOPTION=value (valid values are 500, 1500 and 2500)

Example :
msiexec /i "EnsembleAnthemPro.msi" INSTALLDESKTOPSHORTCUT=true
INSTALLFOLDER="C:\Collaaj LC Intall" useRoaming=true Medialocation="C:\Collaaj LC
Media" RECORDSYSTEMAUDIO=True DELETEMEDIAAFTERUPLOAD=True
SCREENRECORDINGRESOLUTION=1080 IGNOREMEDIAPREVIEWUPLOADINBACKGROUND=true CAMERAQUALITYOPTION=1500

Using Anthem Pro

After Anthem Pro is installed, any Ensemble user with permission to use Anthem can use the Record button in the Ensemble web application or LMS integration to connect Anthem Pro with their library:

record anthem button

If the Anthem Pro application is launched from the computer before the Record button is used, the user will be prompted to do so:

anthem pro no library

When using a computer that is not shared among other users, clicking the Record button to connect Anthem Pro from the library is only required once. After the initial connection, Anthem Pro may be launched using the desktop icon.

For information on using Anthem Pro, see the Ensemble Anthem User Guide
