Enable Third Party Cookies

Ensemble Video utilizes third party cookies to authenticate IDPs (i.e. CAS, Shib, LDAP, etc.).   Because of this fact, your browser must accept third-party cookies in order for that integration to work.  Recently many browsers have started blocking 3rd party cookies as the default setting.   Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge have released updates that will disable all 3rd Party cookies.  

Ensemble Integrations such as:

  • LMS Integrations (Blackboard, Moodle, etc.)

 Depending on your browser, the process to enable 3rd Party Cookies differs slightly:

 

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome
  2. In the upper right corner select the 3 vertical dots and click on Settings

  3. Inside the Settings page select Advanced Settings  and choose Privacy and Security from the left hand menu bar

  4. Click on Site Settings and then select Cookies and Site Data

  5. Ensure Block Third-party cookies  is set to Off

Firefox

  1. Click on the Options menu in the upper right corner and choose Options

  2. Select Privacy & Security

  3. On the Browser Privacy page, select the Custom drop down menu.  Ensure the checkbox next to Cookies in unchecked.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the Gear Icon in the top right corner of Internet Explorer

  2. Select Internet Options

  3.  Select the Privacy tab and then Advanced

  4. In the Third-Party Cookies, select Accept and then click OK

Microsoft Edge

  1.  In the top right corner select the ". . . " ellipses and select Settings

  2. Select Privacy & Security

  3. In the Cookies drop down, ensure Don't Block Cookies is selected.

Safari

  1. Click on Safari and then Preferences

  2. Go to the Privacy Tab and ensure "Prevent cross-site tracking" is unchecked
